The CIAC controls changes in body weight of wrestlers

The businessman Mark Mansa from Bethel (Connecticut) was accused in selling anabolic steroids to High School students from the Greater Danbury.
But it was not proven yet whether it is so, as it has been believed. Many persons doubt that students of High School wrestling have purchased and taken banned products. High School wrestling is a preferred sport in Greater Danbury area. Attachment to this sport blinds numerous individuals wholly. They don’t even suppose that it can be true that wrestlers of High Schools have administered steroids, especially anabolic steroids.
Why are anabolic steroids underlined specifically? Anabolics are used to increase muscle mass in short period of time quite significantly. So, numerous persons suggest that while High School students of other sports might have administered steroids, wrestlers are not included in their class. Their affirmation has been supported by Ricky Shook, a wrestling coach. His team is popular due to acquiring 10 State Open titles. The coach claims that there is no any link with steroids.
In fact, wrestlers cannot utilize steroids or other related preparations for bulking effects because there are strict weight rules that are established and managed by the CIAC.
The wrestler Matt Saraceno was asked about possibility of taking steroids by persons that are involved in this sport. This person noticed that there was no any possibility of applying steroids. He noted that steroids couldn’t help to maintain the mass of the body down. He said that it was not possible.
So, this wrestler broke affirmations of numerous persons about possibility of applying steroids by wrestlers. Since steroids are used to gain muscle size, it would be as a negative effect for a wrestler who tries to keep his body weight to meet criteria of certain weight class. In addition to this aspect, the indications related to weight loss are very strict in wrestling. Even unessential changes in body mass can lead to a lot of problems. Sudden weight adding and enhancement of muscles will cause certain troubles like sudden weight loss.
The CIAC makes it clear that wrestlers must avoid unhealthy loss of body mass. Only concrete amount of body weigt can be lost during a season. The CIAC checks changing in body weight of wrestlers. So, the risks related to intake of prohibited medications are very high for those who are involved in wrestling.
The coach Shook confirms that he doesn’t want to coach those who utilize banned medicines, alcohol and tobacco. He notices that he says these words every year during interviews for the New-Times. Thus, the wrestling coach assures that he doesn’t coach any consumer of prohibited medicines. But if he finds such person in his team, he will inform about this case.
The coach Shook concludes that wrestling is healthy in comparison with its position in earlier time. They have a special program. They subject wrestlers to urine tests and hydration. This is the sport that performs more tests than any other sport that exists in Connecticut.
Although the coach has acknowledged that a wrestler may hide his intake of steroids from him, but it is doubted.
Thus, wrestling avoids usage of banned products. There is hope that wrestling will continue to follow this way.
