A teenager’s death in Britain may contribute in changing laws linked with import of steroids

The pathologist Georgina Howarth concluded that the death of Mohammed Belkhair, a 19-year guy, had been caused by administration of anabolic steroids. The doctor noticed that anabolic steroids had led to heart failure which had resulted in the death.
According to the doctor Howarth, if this young guy had not used steroids, he would have lived today. She said that usage of steroids was the only cause of the death. Georgina Howarth added that the death of this guy was a lesson for each person to be far from such preparations.
Mohammed Belkhair’s sister found him vomiting in his room on May, 2011. The guy admitted that he had administered steroids. The death occurred at the same day. It was reported that steroids had been found in his system.
According to many articles, DHEA and Tamoxifen were two steroids that were found in the system of the guy. DHEA is sold overall in Britain and in the USA.
But actually, the news is misleading. Tamoxifen is not included in anabolic steroids. This product has been initially elaborated to cure individuals that experience breast cancer. It has become widespread among sportspersons and bodybuilders that use steroids because of its ability to prevent aromatization of other drugs.
It seems to be strange but nothing was reported about arrest of Mohammed Belkhair. This factor might contribute in the death. This boy was arrested on the night before his death by police officials. 4 different anabolic steroids were found in the room of this person. But the names of the steroids were not mentioned.
Although the police encounter and arrest occurred certain hours before the death of Mohammed Belkhair, the pathologist Georgina Howarth didn’t investigate these factors. Furthermore, she didn’t provide any explanation about this condition. Police reported nothing too.
Since it was reported that Mohammed Belkhair had ordered steroids per internet, the news related to dangers of purchasing steroids per internet were spread in the country. Thus, it turned out to be convenient for changing the laws in order to make purchasing of steroids online criminal in Britain. The British government desires to make personal importation of steroids per mail and per internet criminal. It will be in near future. However it is said that these amendments will be enacted before the Olympics, they are not still enacted.
