Fans of baseball and many other individuals seem to be perturbed by results of voting for the Hall of Fame. Certain brilliant players have not entered the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is quite naturally that you also ask why they have not been elected. Under rules of voting, those that have demonstrated great baseball abilities and contributed to their teams obviously should be elected. It goes without saying that such baseball players, as Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Rafael Palmeiro, Mark McGwire and several other athletes have displayed amazing abilities and achievements while playing professionally. Why haven’t they entered the Baseball Hall of Fame?
A lot of voters say that they will never support those that have ever been related to steroids and/or other related preparations. Dopers should be sanctioned. Future generations should realize that they will never really succeed, if they administer doping products.
What would you do, if you were a member of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America? Would you support steroid users?
Actually, voters never possess complete information about admitted and suspected dopers. You can’t prove that Roger Clemens has actually doped. Many individuals have suspicions but there is no any steroid evidence. Why should voters refuse to support him? Are they sure that he has applied steroids and other banned drugs? –No, they aren’t. That’s why it is wrong to keep Roger Clemens out of the Baseball Hall of Fame just because of suspicions.
While some voters are ready to support suspected steroid users, they affirm that they will never vote for an admitted steroid user. Although it seems to be right, let review the situation better! Have anabolic steroids played any great role in success of certain baseball player? For example, if even Roger Clemens has applied performance-enhancing drugs, it is possible to convince anyone that he has succeeded not because of steroid use. Extraordinary accomplishment of this celebrated baseball player have been manifested before his alleged usage of steroids. According to some statements, Roger Clemens has applied steroids since 1998 and then in 2000 and 2001. But the most brilliant achievements have been done by him before 1998. So, nobody can state that anabolic steroids have helped Roger Clemens to succeed in professional baseball. That’s why he should enter the Hall of Fame.
Moreover, why are many individuals inclined to demonize only dopers? Isn’t it the society that presses sportspersons to start taking steroids and other related drugs?
